Bills, Bills, Bills

Hello, My name is Tenaya Taylor or TD. I am a Black, queer, and gender nonconforming artist and organizer from Hartford, CT. I am disabled and struggle with a disease called endometriosis. Endometriosis is an under-treated and under-researched condition that affects some people with uteruses. This condition can make life very difficult. I use this portion of my website for people who might not be interested in making a purchase but still wish to support me. Since I've added this feature to my shop, it has been utilized by many. The support has done a lot to help me regulate pain and symptoms related to endometriosis. I have been able to fund transportation to see new doctors, get new medication, and improve my diet. Just months ago, my condition put me through excruciating and debilitating pain that I have known since puberty. Since I have been taking new medication, symptoms related to endometriosis have been at a minimum. This is a temporary fix but it is the best I have ever felt in my life. I feel like a different person and so much better. I hadn’t realized how much time I spent worrying about this pain until it went away. This has given me more space to create, work, and collaborate with a broader community and to grow as an artist and organizer. Your support will allow me to stay consistent with medical appointments, buy art supplies, support other artists who share the same identities as me, and help to support my family. Thank you and stay woke! 🙂
